La Salle County

Joshua Snell, 25, Ottawa, was cited Thursday at East 16th Road and North 31st Road on complaints of DUI and improper parking on the roadway. La Salle County deputies responded to the scene for a report of a vehicle parked on the roadway with an unresponsive male in the back seat. Snell was transported to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Brian Boswell, 41, Marseilles, was arrested Thursday at his home on a La Salle County warrant for DUI. Boswell was taken to the county jail. Boswell needs $1,000 for release on bond.

Lawrence Raibley, 55, Ottawa, was arrested Thursday in the 1100 block of West McKinley Road in Ottawa on a La Salle County warrant for failure to register as a child sex offender. Raibley was taken to the county jail. Raibley needs $2,000 for release on bond.

James Pavelek, 52, Marseilles, was arrested Thursday at his residence on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of firearms violation. Pavelek was transported to the county jail. Pavelek needs $500 for release on bond.

Fire calls

Streator firefighters responded to an odor investigation at 12:23 p.m. Thursday at 622 W. Stanton St. The odor was sewer gas.

Streator firefighters responded to a report of a tree on fire at 4:59 p.m. Thursday at 1202 S. Vermillion St. A garage next to the tree suffered minor damage and the fire was put out.

Streator firefighters responded to an odor investigation at 6:27 p.m. Thursday at 402 E. Main St. Firefighters found nothing.

Streator firefighters responded to an illegal burn at 8:38 p.m. Thursday at 208 W. Stanton that was put out.​
