MARSEILLES — Edward C. “Eddie” Sellers, 75, of Marseilles, passed away April 3 in Joliet.
A celebration of life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at American Legion Post 235, 571 Rutland St., Marseilles. Lunch will be provided.
Eddie was born June 13, 1942, in Chicago, to Edward and Josephine (Stallone) Sellers. He married Gloria (Stack) on Feb. 14, 1993, in Oak Park.
Eddie worked as a chauffeur for Mansfield Roofing for many years, and served as a reserve police officer for over a decade.
He enjoyed repairing vehicles and other mechanical devices and loved dogs.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; son, Edward (Jacquelyn); stepson, Kenneth (Sandra); stepdaughter, Kristen (Steven); grandchildren, Anthony (Ariel) and Jessica; and many, many friends.
Memorials may be given in his memory to the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles, middleeastconflictswall.org/donate. Eddie’s father was killed in action during World War II in 1945, and is buried in an American-Italian military cemetery in Florence, Italy.
