As Starved Rock Regional Center moved away from the Easter Seals telethons of the past, they built a celebration in its place.
The event is held each summer to thank families and the community for all it has done for the center. The center's efforts to help children soar to their potential are aided only with the support of everyone in the community, according to a press release.
This year, the 4th Annual Celebration is being held Sunday, June 3, at Skydive Chicago, north of Ottawa. There will be inflatables, a bungee trampoline, children's games, food, live music, beer, skydiving, a fly-in and a car show for children presented by The Auto Inspector.
Last year’s event drew in thousands of attendees.
Admission to Celebration is free, but wristbands will be required for all rides/games and some activities. A 50/50 raffle also will be offered.
