Barry Cloyd sings about bicentennial at library

PRINCETON — In honor of the Illinois Bicentennial, singer/songwriter Barry Cloyd will present a musical tribute to the birth of the state at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the Princeton Public Library. His songs, performed on guitar, banjo, dobro and other string instruments, will include stories from Native Americans, European explorers, the Revolutionary and Civil wars, Abe Lincoln, the Chicago fire and many more. Cloyd is continually researching and developing one-man presentations that focus on niches and historical time periods, both obscure and well-known. This event is free and public.
