LONG POINT HOME EXTENSION
Long Point Home Extension met April 18 at Arlene Martell's home. Seven members were present. Sandi Kimpling, unit president, and Martell, county president, reported on the April 16 meeting. In honor of HCE celebrating 100 years this year, Kimpling read minutes taken from a Long Point HCE meeting from April 1964. The Tuesday, May 8, meeting will be a trip to Forrest. Reservations must be made for lunch and two museum tours. Kimpling reported contents for the basket for the fair fundraiser were collected and passed out a form on which to record volunteer hours. Martell highlighted three newspaper articles from The Times that reported on activities at Woodland School and also gave the lesson on "Living with Hearing Loss." The silent-auction fundraiser was held after the meeting. Hostess for the meeting was Phyllis Kestner. Linda Zavada won the door prize.
