Q. Why do several cities have ordinances against pinball on the books?

A. Along with gambling concerns, the machines were outlawed for their effect on crime, juvenile delinquency and morality, according to an article titled "That Time America Outlawed Pinball," by Christopher Klein. In this piece, it says pinball ordinances were primarily passed between the 1940s and 1970s.
