MARSEILLES — Cynthia Jean Pierson, 64, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday, April 17, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with the Rev. Bill Clark of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Cindy was born July 10, 1953, in Ottawa, the third daughter of Edward and Maxine (Churchill) Redford. She met the love of her life, Robert Pierson, at a football game. On Jan. 29, 1972, she married Robert Pierson, of Marseilles who survives.
She loved to garden and work in the yard with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Bob; her son, John (Alicia), of Marseilles; two grandchildren, Carter and Kennedy; two sisters, Connie (Jim) Blanton and Linda (Brad) Cresto, both of Marseilles; one brother-in-law, Richard (Setsuko) Pierson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Evert and Ann Pierson.
Pallbearers will be John Pierson, Jeff and Nick Cresto, Mickey Combs, Dean Foster, and Luke Hoyt.
Cindy met so many wonderful people through her illness. Someone was always willing to help her. She wanted to thank Gina, Maggie, Tina and her sisters, Connie and Linda. She will be missed by all of them.
