Ask The Times: Voting receipt

Q. Can a voter get a receipt from the county clerk to show who they voted for?

A. No. In Illinois, a county clerk can provide a certificate verifying a person voted, and what party ballot they requested, but it does not give a rundown of who the person voted for.
