The following students were selected by the Seneca High School teachers and staff as the March students of the month.
Lane Weber, Student of the Month: Lane is the son of Kent and Margi Weber, of Seneca. He is a senior and plans to attend Joliet Junior College. After graduating from JJC, he will transfer to the University of Illinois to study agricultural engineering. Weber is an Illinois State Scholar, active in National Honor Society, WYSE, Scholastic Bowl, Math Team, FFA, speech, TSA, golf, track, Student Ambassadors, musicals/plays, bass fishing, GSA and robotics.
Sydney Poyner, Role Model: Sydney is the daughter of Chris and Jen Poyner, of Mazon. She is a senior. She plans to attend JJC. Her major is still undecided, but she is thinking about being a photographer, journalist or a teacher. She is active in volleyball, speech team, GSA, TRUST, NHS and an officer in the FFA.
Bryce Bedeker, Most Improved: Bryce is the son of Darren and Jean Bedeker, of Verona. He is a senior. He plans to attend Lincoln Land Community College where he will be part of the livestock judging team. He is involved in FFA.
Fidel Valenciano, Rookie: Fidel is the son of Fidel and Rosalva Valenciano, of Verona. He is a freshman and plans to attend a four-year university after graduation to study mechanical engineering. He is active in TSA, Auto Club and track and field.
