My husband used to keep the books,
And he was very good at it.
When he died, the job was mine.
And it took a lot of time. I didn't like it!
I worked hard and did just fine.
Brad the tax man helped me a lot.
When in doubt, he straightened me out.
When the time was coming near, I said
"No extra job until it is here!
I tend to put things off, so
When the deadline is near,
I work day and night to do my best
Until at least I can rest.
Hurrah! It's over and now
We can celebrate!
Several of us went out and ate.
I'm 90 and my son Rick
will help me more next year
So it won't be so hard for me.
Thank the Lord for family!
