Shelby Nelson, 41, Ottawa, was arrested Sunday at 1215 La Salle St. on a warrant for failing to register as a violent offender against a youth. She was taken to the county jail.

Jesse G. Frederick, 21, Ottawa, was arrested at La Salle and Main streets on complaints of DUI, improper turn and improper lane usage. He posted bond.

A report was received Friday a gazebo was vandalized with graffiti in the 100 block of East Main Street.

Police took a report Friday of harassing robocalls.

Police took a report Saturday of online fraud.

Three males were running through yards and looking in vehicles in the area of Banbury and Sunridge drives, according to a report from Sunday morning.

La Salle County

A vehicle driven by Angel Jasso-Cortes, 35, Streator, collided with a vehicle driven by Andrew Boecker, 48, Leland, at about 6:30 a.m. April 4 on Route 23, a few miles north of Streator. Jasso-Cortes was cited on complaints of driving too fast for conditions and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Fire Calls

Ottawa firefighters responded at 9:34 p.m. Sunday to Holiday Inn Express, 120 W. Stevenson Road, for a fire alarm. They found a smoke detector in the swimming pool area was splashed with water, which set off the detector.
