MARSEILLES — Donald Lee McNeely, 80, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, April 7.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles with military honors.
Don was born July 8, 1937, in Vienna, Ill., to John and Oma (Brumley) McNeely. In 1965, he married Nancy Fowler, of Marseilles, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in the 774th Troop Squadron at Stewart Air Force base in Smyrna, Tenn. He was employed by Nabisco for 33 years until his retirement. He was a lifelong member at Sheridan Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed gardening, fishing and his family.
Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy; two daughters, Tina (Brian) Miller and Trish Budach, both of Marseilles; seven grandchildren, Breanna and Ritchie Miller, Chase and Mandy Towne, Hank and Wesley Budach and Brandy Budach-Glover; and a sister, Verna (Gilbert) Taylor, of Vienna.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delbert and Troy McNeely; and one sister at birth.
Pallbearers will be Chase Towne, Brian and Ritchie Miller, and Mike, Hank and Wesley Budach. Phil Manninger will be an honorary pallbearer.
