OTTAWA — Clifford Lee Robinson, 80, of Ottawa passed away Friday, April 6, at Aperion Care in Marseilles.
Memorial services will be at noon Tuesday, April 10, at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the services at the funeral home.
Cliff was born July 17, 1937, in Ottawa, to Hugh and Ruth (Garland) Robinson. He married Judy Armstrong on Nov. 3, 1956, in St. Patrick’s Church.
Cliff and his wife spent most of their life in Serena, raising their children. After 40 years, they moved back to Ottawa. After retiring from Northern Illinois Gas Co., he received a heart transplant, which he survived 20 years. He enjoyed spending summers in Tomahawk, Wis., and winters in Sarasota, Fla. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting antiques.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy; four children, Craig (Linda) Robinson, of Yellsville, Ark., Jill (James) Mooneyham, of Marseilles, Jennifer (Philip) Edgcomb, of Ottawa, and Christopher (Lisa) Robinson, of Serena; seven grandchildren, Clayton, Nathan and Maxwell Robinson, Amy Kraus, Joseph Hicks, Jordan Edgcomb and Zachary Robinson; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Skylar Robinson, Jacob and Madison Lowery, Login, Felicity and Abby Hicks, and Wyatt, Elliott and Flynn Edgcomb.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
