The Kane County Cougars announced a craft beer sponsorship with the Tangled Roots Brewing Company.

Tangled Roots beers will be available at Northwestern Medicine Field and the brewery will be crafting a unique brew for the Cougars to celebrate the partnership.

“We’re a small, ambitious, local business, very much dedicated to supporting our local small-town community,” said Scott Struchen, chief commercial officer of Tangled Roots in a statement. “We found kindred spirits in the management and owners of the Kane County Cougars and we think we can do great things together.”

Bromley & Brown relocates

Bromley & Brown Boutique moved down the street to 308 E. Main St., Streator.

The women’s apparel and accessories shop are now sharing a space with Reveal Salon.

Lily Pads opens second location in Ottawa

Lily Pads will open a second location, Lily Pads Too, at 411 East Stevenson Road, Ottawa.

The resale business, which helps fund the Public Action to Deliver Shelters in Ottawa and Peru, posted on Facebook it was excited to expand operations in Ottawa.

Tone's Cones and Route 34 Drive-in open for the season

Tone's Cones, ​523 W Main St., Ottawa, opened for the season on Saturday.

The business will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Additionally, the Route 34 Drive-in Theater opened last weekend in Earlville.

Peru Aldi's to temporarily close for remodeling

The Peru Aldi's location at 951 Shooting Park Road will close temporarily for remodeling.

The business will close on Sunday, April 15, and is expected to reopen on Thursday, May 17.

The remodeled store will feature a brand new look, expanded fresh section and a new shop layout.
