Renewable Energy Group is the latest to donate towards a new playground for those with disabilities at Crotty Park in Seneca.

The Seneca company had donated $10,000 to the Lamb Family Fund for Crotty Park Playground. They have also committed to an additional $10,000 donation later this year.

Groundbreaking for the playground is set to take place within the next few months and construction of the first two phases of the playground will be concluded by mid-summer. The playground will provide a state-of-the-art outdoor recreational space designed to meet the needs of those individuals living with physical disabilities.

The Lamb Family Fund for Crotty Park Playground was established by George and Cindy Lamb through the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation.

REG Seneca is a 60 million gallon per year, commercial scale, state-of-the-art biodiesel production facility.

Tax-deductible donations to the playground fund may be made to the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation in person, by mail or through the Foundation website at srccf.org.

The Foundation is located at 718 Columbus St., Ottawa.
