The Streator Education Association and the Streator Elementary District School Board announced a tentative agreement was reached during Wednesday’s negotiation session for a three-year contract.
The union will conduct its ratification vote on Wednesday, April 11. The school board is expected to vote Tuesday, April 17, at its regular board meeting.
The union had declared an intent to strike as early as next week if no agreement was reached.
“The parties believe the agreement was reached in good faith and are pleased with the outcome,” the union said on its Facebook post.
The Times was unable to reach officials late Wednesday but will provide more information on the agreement in future reports.
