Police 4-5-18

Police received a report at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday of a break-in in progress in the 400 block of Boys Street. Responding officers did not see anyone in the area or signs of an attempted entry.

A report came in at 11:52 p.m. Wednesday, the toilet and paint in a bathroom had been vandalized at Eagle 6 theater, 301 Dannys Drive.

According to a report from Thursday morning, two bags were stolen the previous night from a vehicle in the 200 block of La Salle Street.

A report of possible child abuse was made Tuesday night at OSF Center for Health-Streator.


Brittany L. Hanson, 18, Streator, was cited Thursday on a complaint she was driving while her license was suspended. She posted bond.

Caleb J.R. Stone, 18, homeless, was arrested Wednesday at Norris Drive and Guion Street on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a marijuana charge. He was taken to the county jail.

Racheal N. Carter, 31, Marseilles, was arrested Wednesday at Canal and Old Chicago roads on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving while license suspended. She posted bond.

La Salle County

Dulce Camacho-Bucio, 38, Ottawa, was arrested at 10:48 a.m. Wednesday at her home on a warrant for driving while license suspended. She was taken to the county jail, needing $300 cash for bond.

Fire Calls

Streator firefighters responded at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to 309 E. Bronson St. for a reported natural gas odor. They found nothing.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 4:45 a.m. Thursday to 900 Paul St. for a fire alarm. They found cooking was the cause.
