STREATOR — Richard G. Hoskins, 78, of Streator, passed away Wednesday, March 28, at Heritage Health in Streator.
Funeral services for Richard Hoskins will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Elias Funeral Home. Burial with full military rites will follow the service in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Born April 30, 1939, in Streator, he was the son of Betty Hoskins.
He is survived by his children, Dean Hoskins, Renae Overocker, Julie (Don) Grubaugh and Glenn Hoskins, all of Streator, James Hoskins, Jeff Hoskins and Christine Miller, all of Oregon; many grandchildren, including Crissy Hoskins, Blake Hoskins, Jacob Grubaugh and Piper Grubaugh; and several great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his siblings, Judy Madara, Marilyn Peacock, Maureen (Rolly) Henthorn and Brian (Barb) Watson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Hoskins Ranger; grandparents, Raymond and Louise Hoskins; and brother, Gene Kousr.
Richard graduated from Streator High School. He served in the United States Army.
Richard worked at Streator Brickyard and Burns Security at La Salle Nuclear Station. He was of the Baptist faith.
