Names were released of those involved in a collision last week in Peru, between a Peru ambulance and a car.
The car was driven by Camry H. Sarver, 22, Peru, and the ambulance was driven by Macie M. Claggett, 19, Peru, according to Peru police. A critically-ill patient in the ambulance, who died, was Rodger S. Bara, 74, Peru. La Salle County Coroner William Wujek said Bara did not suffer life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Both drivers, as well as three other paramedics in the ambulance, were treated and released at local hospitals.
The collision, which happened about 8:42 p.m. Thursday at Fourth and Peoria streets, remains under investigation.
