SENECA — James Patrick Shanahan Jr., 63, of Seneca, passed away Saturday, March 24, at Morris Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Parkview Baptist Church in Marseilles with the Rev. John Patterson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements.
James was born Feb. 6, 1955, in Chicago, to James Patrick Sr. and Bernice (Klotz) Shanahan. In 1985, he married Loretta Baker, of Fremont, Calif., who survives.
He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan with Jimmy Johnson as his favorite. He was a fan of the Oakland A’s and Raiders.
James is survived by his wife, Loretta; his dog, Timo; his cat, Tuula; a sister, Linda, of Wisconsin; and two brothers, Joe (Deb) Lowe, of Michigan, and Michael (Melanie) McEvoy, of Utah.
He was preceded in death by his mother and three sisters, Sue, Kathy and JoAnn.
Memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.
