Calendar, calendar, on the wall, who's the cutest pet of all?

Annette Barr Photography Studio aims to find the answer to that question with its annual Cutest Pet Contest, which raises funds for Pet Project animal shelter in Marseilles.

Pet owners can book a mini photo session for their furry, feathery or scaly companions for $40 per entry. An additional fee applies for multiple pets. Owners will receive a 5-by-7-inch portrait of their pet, and the same image will be entered into the Cutest Pet Contest.

Voting is open to the community and is conducted through $1 donations. Each dollar donated signifies one vote. The top 12 pets raising the most money for the Marseilles no-kill animal shelter will be featured in the 2019 Cutest Pet Contest calendar.

All money raised through votes and calendar sales go to Pet Project.

Contest winners will receive a complimentary photo session from the photography studio and a copy of the calendar.

To enter the contest, book a session by calling Annette Barr at 815-434-4114. Sessions must be scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, through Saturday, April 7.

The community can begin voting at petproject.org Friday, April 27, and Saturday, April 28.
