A Paratransit Market Study is underway in Lake County to evaluate transportation options for seniors, people with disabilities and the public. The second round of community meetings for the Paratransit Market Study will take place this month.
Lake County, in conjunction with the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee, is conducting the study.
At the community meetings an overview of the draft analysis of existing conditions and draft recommendations for service implementation will be presented, a news release stated.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback and comments on these findings to help shape public transportation in Lake County.
Meetings will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 23 at Barrington Park District, 235 Lions Drive, Barrington; 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 23 at Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach; 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 24 at Warren Township Senior Center, 17801 W. Washington St., Gurnee; and 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 25 at Highland Park Police Department, 1677 Old Deerfield Road, Highland Park.
The meetings will be conducted in an informal, open house format. The same information will be provided at all four meetings.
