Libertyville man among pilots in Young Eagles program
A Libertyville resident has given more than 400 young people a free demonstration airplane ride as part of the EAA Young Eagles program, which is introducing a new generation to the world of flight.
Robert Lasecki is among the pilots in the Young Eagles program who explain the safe operation of airplanes and principles of flight before the short trips. After their first ride, Young Eagles get access to an online pilot training course sponsored by Sporty’s Pilot Shops in Batavia, Ohio.
The Young Eagles Program has flown more than 2 million youth ages 8 to 17 since it was unveiled by the Experimental Aircraft Association in July 1992.
